Looking for one-on-one sewing instruction tailored specifically to you? This 30 minute consultation is the first step toward booking private lessons at Studio Heald.

We’ll use this time to chat about your sewing experience, what you’d like to learn, and any specific projects, skills, or techniques you’re interested in exploring. Not sure where to start? That’s completely fine, too. If you simply know you’re ready to take the next steps in learning how to sew, I’ll help guide you toward the skills and projects best suited to your experience, interests, and goals.

From there, we’ll create a personalized game plan designed around you so that we can make the most of our time together during your private lessons.

Private lessons are customized to each student, so a consultation is required prior to scheduling your first session.

Consultations are available in person at Studio Heald or virtually. When booking, simply select your preferred consultation format. After your booking is submitted, I’ll reach out via email to coordinate a date and time that works for you.

Hobo Bag Sewing Workshop

In this two-part workshop, you'll learn foundational sewing techniques while creating your own large, fully lined hobo bag. Each session is two hours long and will guide you through the project step by step, from getting comfortable with the sewing machine to constructing and finishing your bag.

No prior sewing experience is required.

Please note: The sample bag pictured features hand-painted polka dots. Workshop fabric will be solid and will not include the polka-dot design. All materials and equipment are included.

Embroidered Cocktail Napkins Workshop

In this one-part, 3-hour workshop, you'll learn foundational sewing techniques while creating your own set of four embroidered cocktail napkins - a beautiful project you'll be proud to use, gift, or display.

Please note: This workshop does not cover machine embroidery. All fabric will be pre-embroidered and prepared for you. All materials and equipment are included.
